There are times when I look at this world we’re in

That I feel a need to shout out at those in control,

But I know that nobody is listening

And I think to myself

Why even bother.

 

Too many people in power succumb to disease,

That of greed, corruption and addiction to power

They lose sight of their original intention

Instead of improving the world

We end up moving further away.

 

To keep their influence over you

They will inspire fear and discomfort

Some actions produce a common enemy

To create a need for you to depend on them

Even if they manufacture that enemy themselves
